Christmas ,a festival of cakes, decorated trees, stars, carols , Santa Claus , gifts and smiles was celebrated with a lot of cheer on 20 th December at Silver Jubilee Hall , K.K Nagar by the primary students .
It was a morning of ‘Sing and Joy’. The ambience on stage with decorated Christmas tree and the choir of students in red and white with Santa caps rendered in the right spirit. ‘What’s Christmas All About?’ was presented in the form of a puppet play. The Nativity Scene with ‘Joy to the world’ announced the birth of the king in the manger. The play ‘Fairy Christmas’ conveyed the message – ‘ A little smile and a word of cheer can spread joy to one and all’. The most awaited entry of Santa with elves for ‘ Santa Claus is coming to town…..Jingle Bells’ created an atmosphere filled with happiness and excitement. ‘Rock n around the Christmas tree’ a rocking number made the audience go tapping their feet and clapping their hands.
The celebration was beautifully conceived with carol singing, tableau of nativity scene, puppets in action and Christmas play.
Mrs. Vijayalakshmi Mahalingam, Headmistress,and Miss J. Balamba,l K.G Superintendent, appreciated the enthusiastic participants and wished the wonderful audience.
