Thamizhar Thirunal “Pongal” was celebrated by the UKG students on 12th January
The show began with a sloka on SuryaNarayana and the reason & the meaning of the sloka was explained to the children. The significance of the four day celebration was highlighted.
This was followed by a vibrant and a scintillating folk dance which transported the spectators to the village where Pongal is celebrated with pomp and zeal.
