SYNOPSIS ON ‘SAVE THE TIGER - BANNER’ – T.N

The students of 8-D, Avinash Tadavarthy, Sakshi Jain, Sarah Mathew and Shreya Nahar have made a banner on ‘Save the tiger’. On the 19th of January, 2012 all of us have campaigned to the primary classes holding out our banner and spreading the importance of saving the tiger in our country as it is the national animal and the pride of our nation. We were given this opportunity by our science teacher Mrs. Priya. N.

In the whole school, only two banners were given, that is to the 8th and the 7th standards. We have together painted this banner and put our own slogan on it:

“Save our tigers, save our pride,
Killing them lies on the negative side,
Killing them is not our need,
But it is the hunter’s destructive deed.”

All of them in our class (8-D) have helped us by putting their handprints on the banner as its border. On our campaign we have set an example in the minds of young students in our school. We have explained about the negative effects of killing the tiger, how to take your step in saving it and the large country-wide companies like TATA, Airtel etc. which have helped us take this movement forward. Finally we have spread the message of saving our tigers and saving our pride.
