When the tiny seed of the educational banyan tree Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan Senior Secondary School was sown in 1958 in a little thatched hut in my house upstairs, little did we dream that our sincere efforts at serving the community through our Indianised approach to education would bear fruits and spread its roots and branches in Chennai. It was in 1976, an educational edifice sprang up in a little known locality in Chennai.
The PSBB senior secondary school, K.K.Nagar which had branched out from the main branch at Nungambakkam in 1976 as a part of expansion programme, to meet the ever growing demand for admission, has established itself as a strong educational edifice in the city of Chennai and will remain as a timeless institution in the annals of education.
I am proud of the dedicated efforts of Mrs.Hamsa Ramdas Sr.Principal, Mrs.Chandra Srinivasan, Senior Vice-Principal, Miss. J.Balambal, our first Headmistress, who have been with us since 1976 , and the team of teachers who have tirelessly cooperated with me in shaping this temple of learning - Kalaikovil Nagar at K.K.Nagar.
