A country's civilization is measured by its cultural strides and aesthetics of heritage. Our school is fortunate to closely associate with Bharat Kalachar, the cultural wing of the school for the past fifteen years. It has been a rejuvenating experience to witness the programmes organized by Bharat Kalachar, the brain child of Mr. YGP. A melange of Jugal Bandi, fusion music,ensemble, Bharatanatyam, Kuchupidi, Odissi, Ballet, play are offered on a golden platter for the students to relish and cherish and to pen delightful reviews as art appreciation programmes. Their reviews are published in school magazine, Bharat Kalachar magazine and PSBB Times.
This is probably the only sabha where during the peak music festival a student can attend to any concert(be it a well known artist like Mr. Yesudas right down to a beginner) with out paying any charge provided he or she wears the school uniform for identification purposes.
Scholarships have been coming our students way of classical dance and music over the years. In addition to scholarships, cash incentives are provided and those who have secured scholarships get a chance to renew it by taking part in the competitions conducted for the purpose the following year. Talented students are given a platform to perform during Yuva Utsavs at december season. They are given the coveteous Yuva Kala Bharathi awards for brilliance in arts.
In addition, students get an opportunity to participate in the Vishnu Sahaasranamam, Thiruppavai and Nalayira Divya Prabandam, Bhagavad Gita and Aadithya Hridayam competitions and prizes instituted by philanthropists are awarded at the close of Margazhi Mahotsav.
