The ninth Maths Expo took place at Bala Vidhya Mandir on 21st January 2012. Over twenty schools participated in various competitions, that included , Catch to Catch, Math, Mind and Me , Math quiz , Model Making and Number Chain. R.Anirudh ( X N)made a video presentation on Homothety that won him the first prize in the event, Math Mind and Me.
Incidentally Anirudh along with Kaushik Ram were invited to make this presentation in the Annual AMTI conference in Pune. P.K Ashreya 11 F2 and Adhithya.P IX H came second in Catch to Catch ,an event similar to Treasure Hunt. Abinaya Raman and Abinaya .S. Of X L made a static model of the G.P.S ( global positioning system) which bagged the third place in the event Math Modelling. Kaushik Ram and V.Sidhaarth ,IX N, participated in the Math quiz which was a true learning experience for them.
PSBBKKN came second in overall , missing the first place by a single point . It provided the participants a whole new dimension in understanding the use of Math and they enjoyed every bit of it .
